The engine will continue to run at idle until the lever is moved about 32??. Then, move the control lever farther to open the throttle, and the engine will begin to accelerate.

Emergency Lanyard Cord: This engine security switch lanyard lord is made of high quality woven nylon fiber, which provides security and durability. The lanyard lord is extendable and flexible, the premium plastic ring clip is used to insert into the flameout switch, and the ABS plastic spring buckle hook is to connect with the operator, preventing the operator falling or leaving the helm.

Fast Idle Button
Use of fast idle feature is not required on Evinrude E-TEC outboards. Refer to operator??s guide for specific outboard. it is used to advance throttle without shifting into gear.
Smooth Forward & Reverse
To shift into forward and reverse, rotate the control lever downward about 35??to the F side and R side, respectively. When the control lever is further rotated downward, the throttle opens.
Emergency Lanyard & Clip
The cord can secure the operation by being attached to operator’s clothing, or arm, or leg. Should operators fall down or leave the helm, the cord will pull out the clip, stopping ignition.
Power Trim & Tilt Switch
The power trim and tilt switch is attached to the control lever grip and twin cover. Pushing it UP trims up and tilts up the engine and pushing it DOWN trims down and tilts down the engine. Dual Function Use
